In the past decade, incidence of mental health issues in children increased at an alarming rate. COVID intensified student anxiety and depression, especially for children at risk. Schools have a unique opportunity to provide the support necessary to build student resilience so that they can not only cope effectively with the demands of school but build the foundation for a lifetime of improved health and mental health outcomes.

Representatives from Rosecrance Health Network and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health will present information about all levels of care and programming for adolescents with specialized mental health needs, specifically eating disorders and substance abuse. They will also share best practices for supporting students’ return to school following discharge from these treatment programs.
