Explore legal and ethical challenges in schools by developing a decision-making framework using case law, policy, and ASCA Ethical Standards. Through case discussions, groups will examine how to balance student needs with parental rights, especially in sensitive areas. Topics covered during this session include duty to warn, privacy, suicide risk, liability, academic advising, defamation, child abuse, record-keeping, and malpractice.
